APPLE CRUMBLE WITH CINNAMON

Ingredients

For the apple filling:

  • 900 g apples
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. of cinnamon
  • Juice of half a lemon

For the crumbles:

  • 75 g Mestemacher Grape Nut Bread
  • 75 g Mestemacher Muesli Power Snack
  • 30 g pecan nuts
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g sugar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 35 g oat flakes
  • 30 g coconut flakes
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

  1. For the apple filling, peel the apples, remove the apple core and dice the apples. Melt the butter in a saucepan with sugar and cinnamon. Add the diced apple and leave it to caramelise for about 5 minutes at high heat. Pour the apple mixture into a mould.
  2. For the crumbles, chop the nuts, melt the butter, crumble the Muesli Power Snack and the bread and use your fingers to form coarse sprinkles together with all the other ingredients. Spread the crumble mixture over the apples and bake at 190°C on the lower shelf for about 20 minutes.
