Vegan Bread with Tofu Chive Cream and Bell Pepper

For 2 portions:

  • 1 bunch of chive
  • 200 g silken tofu
  • 1–2 teaspoons of sesame paste (tahini)
  • Salt
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • a few leaves of garden lettuce
  • 4 slices of Mestemacher Vegan Bread
  1. Rinse the chive and dab it dry. Place aside a few stalks for garnishing, cut the rest into little rolls.
  2. Cut half of the tofu into small squares. Blend the remaining tofu and stir with sesame paste, chive rolls and salt, then season to taste.
  3. Clean the bell pepper, wash it and cut into strips.
  4. Clean the lettuce leaves, wash, and pluck them into small pieces. Then place them onto the slices of bread before topping them with tofu cream and diced tofu. Garnish with bell pepper strips and chive stalks.

Tip: Instead of sesame paste, you can also use almond cream.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
