Fried olives in a Fitness Bread coat with herbal filling

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Mestemacher Fitness Bread
  • 10 green olives without pip
  • 1 handful of herbs (e.g. dill, parsley, chives)
  • 1 tsp. of olive oil
  • 1 tsp. of parmesan cheese
  • 4 tbsp. of flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper according to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Dab the olives dry. Chop the garlic and herbs finely and mix with the parmesan and olive oil. Pour the herbal paste carefully into the olives.
  2. Build a breading line using three deep plates. Put the flour on the first plate. Whisk the egg, season with salt and pepper and place it on a second plate. Finely crumb the Fitness Bread in a food processor and fill the third plate.
  3. First turn the stuffed olives in the flour, then pull them through the egg and roll them in the bread crumbs.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a pot.
  5. Fry the breaded olives in the hot oil until they have the desired level of browning. Carefully remove the olives from the pot and place them on kitchen paper so that the excess oil is absorbed.
