Mestemacher "KITA Prize"

The Mestemacher "KITA Prize" (KITA = day care facility for children) has been awarded since 2001 in annually changing cities or metropolitan areas. The prize money is EUR 16,750 per year.

The idea
It is the concern of the Mestemacher KITA Prize to support the day care facilities for children with an excellent offer of services for the balancing of family and career. Furthermore, the project focuses on gender-democratic education as well as on the individual development of children. The prize is awarded once a year to ten exemplary facilities in regions of a selected Federal State. Whether private or publicly funded - every day care facility for children may apply for the Mestemacher KITA Prize.
